Food and drink
You can say, Szczecin certainly doesn't have problems with food and drink. The city has lots of places, from pubs to restaurants. In a city that still has to do with the sea you should have fish and here "The Chief", at Grunwaldzki Sq, was the gem. You mustn't forget "Zamkowa" which, as the name says, is in the Castle. If at these places you can eat also official lunches/dinners, something more casual, like an occasional pizza, is not gonna hurt you. Pepperoni pizza parlour at Poniatowskiego St, at the junction with Mickiewicza St, is a good place. Lunches, dinners, pizzas... But you can have great breakfasts too, as in Koch at Wojska Polskiego Ave, or Czekoladowa at the same avenue, which is 7 km long. Perfect after a night long, tiring journey. A cherry on the cake is a dessert or chocolate. You can sip on good chocolate in the aforementioned three, but it's best to go straight to Chocoffee, at "The new old town", next to the Głos Szczeciński daily's building. There's also an offer for the students that are not big spenders: Turysta bar at Obrońców Stalingradu St and Rab bar at Krzywoustego St. You can have coffee i.a. at a Viki corner cafe near Posejdon, Columbus Coffee (there's their outlet at Krzywoustego and in Turzyn Carrefour.) To the right is the picture of the second Wedel chocolaterie, at the corner of Plac Grunwaldzki. And remember Europe's no. 4 Brasileirinho, too.
